INTRODUCTION

Hospital consist of different room that have different use, example is operating theatre, patient room, x ray room, and etc. The design includes;

System Load Design By E-Quest Piping and Ventilation Filtration Building airflow simulation by ANSYS CFD

OBJECTIVE

To study the factor of Indoor Air Quality specified for 300 beds hospital. To design the filtration system for the system based on the type of building project. To determine the cooling load and design the cooling capacity includes installation of system. To master the e-Quest software simulation for design the building. To understand the ANSYS CFD simulation for better understanding and getting the accurate result of reality condition. 4/22/12

THE SUBJECT BUILDING

A hospital with 300 beds Consist of 4 level;

Sub Basement Ground Floor Level 1 Level 2

4/22/12

E-Quest LOAD CALCULATION

For the energy analysis, the e-Quest software is used to determine the cooling load and cooling capacity on the systems, it is a sophisticated, yet easy to use building energy use analysis tool which provides professional-level results with an affordable level of effort.

ANSYS CFD

ANSYS FLUENT software contains the broad physical modeling capabilities needed to model flow, turbulence, heat transfer, and reactions for industrial applications ranging from air flow over an aircraft wing to combustion in a furnace, from bubble columns to oil platforms, from blood flow to semiconductor manufacturing, and from clean room design to wastewater treatment plants. Special models that give the software the ability to model in-cylinder combustion, aeroacoustics, turbomachinery, and multiphase systems have served to broaden its reach.

CONCLUSION

Designing a HVAC system for a Hospital isnt an easy job to do. We need to follow all the standard and requirement that has been establish in order to achieve the correct design referring to the ventilation system, filtration, piping and etc. Most of them consume a lot of time and concentration.
