The promotion and maintenance of the highest degree of physical, mental, social wellbeing of workers in all occupations. The prevention of workers from departures of health caused by their working conditions. The protection of workers in their employment.

HEALTH PROMOTION OF WORKERS

PROPER NUTRITION

It involves under the Indian factories act it is obligatory on the part of the factory management to provide a canteen when the number of the workers exceeds 250.Its aim is to provide balanced diets or snacks at reasonable cost under sanitary control in order to improve nutritional status of workers.

CONTROL OF COMMUNICABLE DISEASE

The industry offers an excellent opportunity for the early detection, treatment and prevention of communicable diseases. There should be a well planned immunization programmed for all workers

ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION
WATER SUPPLY - provision of safe drinking water - Installation of drinking water - fountain at convenient point FOOD - Sanitary preparation, storage and handling of food in canteens - Separate place for workers - who brings lunch packets - with them
