Economic Boom
An additional $20 billion investment in scientific research in the stimulus package would create ~402,000 American jobs for one year. Four researchers at the University of California at San Diego have been credited for creating more than 40,000 jobs in life sciences. More than 75% of [the United States] post-1995 increased productivity could be

Sustainability
Investing in science will create jobs for skilled [rather] than unskilled workers Science is self-sustaining a knowledgebased economy leads to innovation the key to economic growth New Orleans makes most of its money off tourism, a low-end transient kind of job. Scientific industry offers jobs that are high-end have permanence (i.e. research staff, secretary)

Sustainability
After the start-up funds, science can keep on going; its knowledge based, rather than resource based (i.e. fossil fuels). Other businesses will want in will invest in the scientific research hoping to get rich City richer as a whole city where everyone will want to live

Yes, We Need Money

Innovation might require a wellfunctioning team or organization, a wellfunctioning patent system, a welldeveloped firm ecosystem or appropriate university links to industry all this demands funds Funding academic medicine, we can serve everyone in the community so that all can have good health
