For the music video we used generic RnB conventions such as: Close up shots Props/location which represent the characters status/mood Handheld shots Static shots Gender stereotypes are challenged Costume worn by the character The props/location:

How am I using this feedback

Following the feedback, if I was given the chance to revise my product, I would make the following adjustments: Add more clips of the artist singing to the camera (lip syncing) - I would do this in Adobe Premiere Pro, by opening the source control; loading the footage; and using the set in point and set out point tools to cut out these clips of, my artist singing. Then I would insert it onto the timeline. This could helped the audience, to connect with the artist more (share her emotions) when, she sings directly into the camera. Control the camera when it is on the tripod - before recording whilst on location, I will make sure I tighten the ball friction control on the tripod. I will also make sure the quick release lever, is shut. These two features will stop the camera from moving, out of place unless done so manually.

What have I learnt from this feedback? Main task

To show more footage of the artist singing by his/herself. This is a convention of a music video, this is also a feature within Andrew Goodwins Music Video Theory. This feedback will make my product reach almost, the same standard as a real media text Next time use/experiment using video effects e.g. black and white tone (if necessary to the genre). This will help the audience to understand what is happening, inside the artists head. E.g. the artists facial expression shows she is sad, then we see a clip of her boyfriend and his mistress. The use of a black and white, and a fade out to white effect aids the audience to know this flashback is the cause for her facial expression

Viewers will find it hard to watch something, if the tripod or camera is not handled carefully

Digipak - ancillary 1
I received more cons, than pros n this task. The general conclusion was, the font and layout could have been improved Pros Broken glass effect is effective The pose the artist used, with the scene behind her (mise-en-scene) predicts the meaning behind the album The artists facial expression gives clues on what has happened She makes females look powerful

Cons A different font style should have been considered The font colour makes the font stand out too much It is hard to read the writing on the back cover

Following the feedback, if I was given the chance to revise my product, I would make the following adjustments: A different font style should have been considered - after analysing my digipak, I do agree with this comment. I analysed different fonts in Photoshop Elements. I tried the colour gold and I noticed, it to matched the street lights, and it stands out also.

Following the feedback, if I was given the chance to revise my product, I would make the following adjustments:
It is hard to read the writing on the back cover - this is similar to the previous feedback I received. I experimented using different fonts, and keeping the font colour red. The result was it was still hard to read. I then used the same font, but changed the colour and this was my result:

`This result showed me, it was the font

colour which made the writing hard to read. This font colour also matches the street lights, in the background.

What have I learnt from this feedback? Digipak

Having a colour theme makes the album look more attractive. I would want my product to be eye-catching, for my audience to purchase the product. This will have a impact on my artists popularity, and an increase on her fan base I dont have to add an effect to the text to make it stand out, sometimes the font colour may be the issue. E.g. I added a bevel effect to my text, and from the feedback I received this effect made the text hard to read Be careful when positioning images, the album cover could look crowded

Poster ancillary 2
I received mixed views on this task. Here is the feedback:

-cons feedback
Following the feedback, if I was given the chance to revise my product, I would make the following adjustments: Make the pictures more visible (the images within her body) - I made the poster using Photoshop Elements. I created 2 layers of the artists body, and placed it above all the images; hidden within her body. To make the images within her body more visible, I pushed one of the layers containing her body below the hidden images layers.

This was my result:

Moving the layer (containing the artists body) to a lower level, helped the hidden pictures become visible. I also lowered the opacity for that layer.

-cons feedback
Following the feedback, if I was given the chance to revise my product, I would make the following adjustments:

Use a different range of font styles, and position it in different places - I used different font styles using Photoshop elements. I spread out the writing on the poster, using up all the empty areas. Position the artist in the middle - positioning does play a significant role. Pacing the artist in the middle could be interpreted as, the images hidden within her story through her eyes.
Add a price - this is essential for the target audience or, any audience to know. I will make it a reasonable price, because my target audience do not have from a specific financial/status background. My target audience are females (any class, I am not following the demographics profile) between age 18 to 23 years old. Here is the result, after making these adjustments:

This is my result:

I personally do not like this result. I dont think positioning the artist in the middle, and placing the text in empty areas on the poster is a good idea, because the layout is now complex and makes the poster, look crowded. An audience member may find this hard to follow. I dont it is appropriate to use a range of different fonts, because I feel the font style should be consistent. However, I do like the new font style I have used, and the stroke effect makes the words stand out. I think using the stroke effect on the out now only 9.99 text is essential; as it is one of the key info the audience need to know, before purchasing anything.

What have I learnt from this feedback? Poster

Make sure everything I include in the poster is visible, because all the images and text have a significant reason; for being there. E.g. the pictures should be visible, for the audience to know the artist has been on a journey. Someone within my target audience may be able to relate to her journey (Uses and Gratifications theory) Always include a price when promoting a product, it is crucial for the audience to know this type of information. This is if they would like to purchase the product. Using punctuation marks such as an exclamation mark, grabs attention. Individuals perceive texts in different ways, however an exclamation mark alerts you to stop, receives attention. E.g. placing the exclamation marks (in my redraft, the previous slide) next to the price, make that text stand out
