WHAT IS LABORATORY?

A laboratory school is type of experiential school that based on the John Dewey educational system.

3 major classifications of a laboratory

Medical Laboratory-A place equipped for the performance of tests, experiments, and investigative procedures and for the preparation of reagents, therapeutic chemical materials, and so on. Industrial Laboratory -is an independent laboratory that specializes in Food and Drug analysis. IL specializes in analytical chemistry applications including but not limited to Nutritional Labeling, Microbiological testing, dietary supplement screening, label claim verification, drug analysis in performance sports animals and sports supplements, methamphetamine detection, and portability in drinking water samples. School Laboratory- this is the place where students and teachers are allowed to make experiments , tests and so on. It is intended for school works only.

Responsible manner at all times Be familiar w/ your lab assignment Never work alone When first entering a laboratory, do not touch anything Do not eat or drink inside the laboratory Perform only those experiments authorized by the instructor. Use safety goggles and aprons Observe good housekeeping practices Know the locations and operating procedures of all safety equipment

10. Be alert and proceed w/ caution at all times 11. Dispose of all chemical waste properly 12. Labels and equipment instructions must be read carefully before use 13. Keep hands away from your face, eyes, mouth, and body while using chemicals 14. Experiments must be personally monitored at all times 15. Students are never permitted in the science storage 16.Know what to do if there is fire drill during laboratory period

17. If you spill acid or any corrosive chemical on your skin or clothes immediately wash the area w/ large amount of water 18. The main gas outlet valve is shut off 20. The water is turned off 21.Desk top, floor area, and sink are clean 22. All equipments is cool, clean, and arranged 23. Wear proper clothing, footwear and eyewear at all times. 24. Do not distract others because they busy doing experiments 25. Do not play inside the laboratory you might accidentally fall some equipments in the laboratory.

IMPORTANCE
If you don't follow any 'precautionary measures', you could be injured or die, depending on what you're doing. To be honest, it's kind of obvious. And maybe you will stay longer in the hospital and spent many money. So follow the rules because following rules is not a sin it's free to follow the rules nobody will be angry to you.
